Today, we took our last test in semester 1. I got 83 only, which was so upset. I don't understand why every time when I was confident about my score I just always got a upset score. My score is getting B. I really love this class and Mr. Schick. I hope Mr. Schick can give me a pleased score on class contribution which is my last hope to keep my score above 90. I has been hardworking for the whole semester even though my English is not good enough. I really don't want my score to become lower than 90. I really really don't. If my score became lower than 90 at the last day in semester, that will be so...wretched.

Today, we reviewed the powerpoint about North Korea. And we made a big discussion. Someone was mad because China helped North Korea against US. They are so kids. China didn't really want to help North Korea. But China had to help because if North Korea was taken over, it would be very dangerous for China. Besides, some said they want to throw nuclear bomb to North Korea. I think that's what an angry kid usually do. What I want to say to them is that don't bring emotion with you when you talk about history. History should be talked in a completely objective view. Don't take governments' false as personal false.

Kim il-Sung: ruled from 1948-1994 great leader, eternal leader supreme leader, eternal president of the republic
He established "cult of personality". He require people to show extreme devotion to him. During his term, over 2000 temples and churches were destroyed.
Kim Jong-il ruled from 1994-2011 as supreme leader.
Kim Jong-Un born in 1983, became supreme leader Dec 17, 2011, the youngest president in the world, 32 years old. He had been studying in Switzerland. He liked computer games and Jordan and Eric Clapton. But he is still a cool person. He even killed anyone who suggested him to make North Korea a better country.
North Korea has the 4th biggest military. China has the largest.
There are 8 countries which own nuclear weapon. Five of them compose of nuclear-weapon states. US, Russia, France, China.

Today in class, we finished the rest of the video " inside North Korea". I saw the reporter came to visit a old woman who has cataract and ask their family about their opinions to their so-called Great Leader. I saw those people are so superstitious. They love their leader so much without any reasons and put his images anywhere even if he makes his people fall into hunger and poor. That is so stupid. And the dances and songs they perform are all about Kim Jony-Un. And when the reporter asked them "What if your Great Leader do something wrong?", they didn't understand. But I thought they were acting instead of the vocabulary problem, because they think Kim was the God who won't do anything wrong. After reporters help those who has cataract heal their eyes, those thought Kim help them see the light again. And they said something like "thank you so much" "we praise you" "we will protect you from Americans" with extremely exaggerating expression, which was so stupid.

Today, we watched a documentary about the real life in North Korea. It's a very oppressive government in which, Kim jong-Un control everything. All people in North Korea regard Kim jong-Un as their God. We can see the images of Kim jong-Un every where. This country is so poor that people can't take in enough nutrition so even kids can catch cataract. Even though this disease is easy to heal, the doctors in such a poor country still can't fix those thousands of patients. And a 7-year-old kid is 25 pounds lighter and 7 cm shorter than a kid at the same age in South Korea. At DMZ, the house where Koreas have meeting is dividing into two parts. On each side, soldiers of each country are guarding. This is the most militaried zone. And North Korea has the forth largest armed force in the world.

Today, Cody helped us reviewed what we learned yesterday. That was one of the most awesome class I had, which is very funny just like watching comedy. Here, I just add some more information about North Korea. North Korea board with China, South Korea and a little of Russia. This country is totally dark at night because it's poor. Their coastlines are even invisible at night. And people can only watch the stations that the government want them to watch. And their have very few internet which is a closed domestic network.
Today, we talked about North Korea.
1. oppressive government
2. very secluded and isolated from the world
3. currently headed by Kim Jong-Un
4. Kim Jong-Un didn't seem to like The Interview
Oppressive government:
State-run socialist government that many consider to be a stalinist dictatorship
Official name: DPRK
secluded and isolated: isolated by the government
geographically
a peninsula
Pyongyang is the capital
DMZ is the line dividing North Korea and South Korea.
