Last class, we focused on the discussion about globalization. Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world. Globalization results in the expansion of international cultural, economic, and political activities. As internet develops, the world becomes smaller and smaller. There are less and less differences in the world. McDonald is a good example. McDonald now exists all over the world, no matter in Asian, Europe or America. Besides this, that if we want to taste food from another country, we even don't have to leave the city, is the most common example. In fact, globalization happens throughout the history. In China, I learned that in early 2000 years ago, a Chinese whose name is Qian Zhang developed the silk road between China and Europe which contributed a lot for the economy of both. They communicated culture and exchanged goods they produced in their country. That's a good beginning of globalization even if their goal is not to share culture, is to make money. From that, I think globalization is a result of development of internet. Because internet make communications convenient. Globalization happens continuously and silently. Same as globalization, we also have Americanization, just like we can see McDonald everywhere. I think that is like subspecies of globalization. Import and export are also influenced by globalization. The products of a company can be sent to all over the world. So in the classroom, we can see the same products which were made in different countries.

Globalization is amazing!
